ÙBenita received Honorary Doctorate of Law 2008 - Awarded by the University of East London 'to celebrate the lifetime achievements of individuals who have made a distinguished contribution to their field of endeavour'.

ÙNational Lottery Awards 2007 - Best Education Project - Runner Up

ÙOBE for Benita Refson 2007 - Benita was awarded OBE as founder and Chief Executive of The Place2Be for; ‘Services to Children and Families'.

ÙPayroll Giving Silver Quality Mark 2007– Funded by HM Government, the payroll giving quality mark and awards scheme recognises and rewards businesses and organisations for making payroll giving available to staff.

ÙCharity Awards 2006Highly commended finalist in the category of Research, Advice and Support

ÙChildren and Young People's Services Awards 2006 - finalist for the Wellbeing Award

ÙBeacon Fellowship 2004, 2005 & 2006 – Chief Executive, Benita Refson, has been short-listed for the Beacon Prize for Leadership (awarded to Sir Bob Geldof in 2004).

ÙLiveable City Awards 2005 - Winner of the Award for 'Access to goods and services for disadvantaged communities'.

ÙCharity and Public Service Publishing Awards 2004 - Charity Magazine of the Year.

ÙHouse of Commons Annual Secondment Awards 2004 - Samantha Evans, a civil servant from the Home Office, received this award in recognition of her work with The Place2Be's Croydon Hub.
