TAILORED WORKSHOPS AND COURSES
Place2Be workshops and courses can be tailored to your specific needs and delivered at any agreed venue. While the majority of our training is for staff in primary schools, we are currently developing transition training programmes with secondary schools, and we have also started to train in early years settings. TRAINING PACKAGES
We also offer a special package of training courses designed for a cluster of schools.
The training usually takes place over 18 months and includes:
- Training that involves every member of staff
- Help with planning and managing staff release
- Training that supports the Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning (SEAL) programme
- Support and consultation on integrating learning into the school environment
- Support and consultation on incorporating outcomes into the OFSTED process
- The ability to spread costs over two financial years
AN EXAMPLE OF A BESPOKE TRAINING PACKAGE
Term 1
- Set-up work with Heads to plan training over the next three terms
- Two-day workshop for Headteachers, Deputy Heads and SENCOs
Term 2
- Introductory INSET day
- Accredited training for school-based staff - six-day course (Emotional communication with children) – offering six days' training for three people from each school
- A range of one-day workshops for staff from all schools and/or Midday Supervisor course
Term 3
- Accredited training for school-based staff - six-day course (Emotional communication with children) – offering 6 days training for three people from each school
- A range of one-day workshops for staff from all schools and/or Midday Supervisor course
- Ongoing support group for participants from Term 2, helping them to integrate learning into their working practice
Term 4
- Final INSET day for all school staff
- Ongoing support as learning is integrated into the school
