WHAT IS THE DEADLINE FOR PAYMENT?
If you are not already a volunteer with The Place2Be, or a member of our staff, you will need to pay for any training in full no later than 28 working days prior to the start date. If you do volunteer or work for us, courses are available free of charge. Please email our Internal Training Administrator: training@theplace2be.org.uk, or phone 0207 923 5516 for more information or to make a booking. Please include your name, contact details, School, Hub and Hub Manager’s name.
Back to top CAN I TRANSFER TO THE SAME COURSE ON ANOTHER DAY?
If you wish to transfer your place, please send us an email as soon as possible.
Place2Be volunteers and members of staff should contact Internal Training Administrator:

If you have been accepted for the Foundation course, you can defer your place for up to one year. However, you will need to have a one-to-one assessment with a trainer before taking up your place. Please contact

Back to top CAN SOMEONE ELSE TAKE MY PLACE?
Places on school staff workshops and courses are interchangeable, as participants do not need to apply for these places individually. Name changes can be made free of charge.
However, it is not possible for someone else to take your place if you have applied for and been accepted for training after interview.
Back to top WHAT'S YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
Should you be unable to attend any of our training courses for whatever reason, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can the open your place to another learner.
If you should cancel within 28 days of the start date, the following charges will apply:
Within 28 days - 25% of the training fee
Within 21 days - 50% of the training fee
Within 14 days - 75% of the training fee
Within 7 days - 100 % of the training fee
If, for
any reason, you are not able to complete the course, the Place2Be regrets that it is unable to offer any refund of fees paid.

Back to top CAN I APPLY FOR A BURSARY?
If following a successful interview you have been offered a place on The Place2Be's Foundation Course or Postgraduate Diploma you may be able to apply for a bursary if your financial situation is a barrier to you taking up your place and funding is available.
Further details and application forms will be provided following a successful interview.
All bursary applicants will need to complete a supplementary form and be interviewed by an independent panel. Awards are limited and will be made to those who can demonstrate the greatest financial need as well as a commitment to the childcare profession, in particular, to working therapeutically with children.

The Place2Be training venue is in Angel Islington, North London. However, we are able to run courses in your school or for a cluster of schools at an alternative local venue.
