Our Volunteer Counsellors are trainee or qualified counsellors or therapists who work with children in a safe therapeutic setting within their primary school. They provide children with the opportunity to be heard and to express their feelings through talking, creative work and play.
Our placements run for a minimum of one day a week during school hours, for one year. We offer a well-structured, supervised placement, training workshops and career progression opportunities within the organisation. Our placements usually start in August or September (although some start in January) and we accept applications from people from a diverse range of theoretical backgrounds.
